In Discovery Commerce, under the Automation section, you can create a new Google Ads campaign or update an existing one using the bulk upload feature.

You can create following types of Google Ads campaign using the bulk upload feature;

  1. Google Search and Display Campaign : You can directly publish Google Search and Display Ads using the Shopalyst Google Ads Campaign Bulk Upload feature.

    or, you can publish these campaigns by uploading the CSV file (generated from goole ads campaign bulk upload feature) to Google Ads Editor.

  2. Google Video Ads: You can only publish the google video ads through GA video editor tool by uploading the GA editor csv file from the google video ads campaign bulk upload feature.


Location-Based Targeting:

When setting up campaigns, you can also include location-based targeting to reach users in specific regions or areas of interest. You can use physical locations (where the user is actually located) or locations of interest (regions users are interested in) for campaign targeting.You can also use ACE’s Location Aware Stores widget to automatically detect a user’s physical or preferred location and display the nearest store, helping personalise the experience.


Steps to Create a Google Ads Campaign Using Bulk Upload


Follow these steps to successfully create a Google Ads campaign through bulk uploads:


1. Navigate to the Ads Builder:

  • Go to the Plan Upload screen in the Advertising Automation and click the Upload Media Plan button.

2. Select Media Platform:

  • Choose Google Ads as the media platform and select the appropriate template type from the dropdown menu.

3. Download the Input template

  • You can download the input template from "Click here for the sample template. Instructions regarding upload can be found in the template." the Upload Media Plan screen

4. Review the Upload Template:

  • The upload template contains two tabs: Instructions and Data Sheet. Review the instructions carefully before updating the template. Ensure all mandatory fields are filled in to facilitate a successful upload.
    • Enter the target locations in the designated columns ValueTrack parameters of the upload template. 

    • In the Tracking Parameters column, enter either location_physical or location_interest and add other necessary details as required.

        

5. Upload Your Template:

  • Once you have completed filling out the template, upload it and click Submit. This action will redirect you back to the Plan Upload screen.

6. Publish the Campaign

  • After the media upload is successful, you can either directly publish your Search and Display campaigns to Google Ads, or download the Google Ads Editor CSV under the Action button from the Automation Explore screen.

7. Download GA Editor CSV 

  • After publishing the GA video ad campaign, click on Download GA Editor CSV option from the campaign actions.

9.  Campaign KPI Prediction

  • As soon as your campaign is published, you’ll be able to see predicted performance metrics for key indicators such as: Impressions, CPM (Cost per 1,000 impressions), clicks, and CPC (Cost per click).
