In Discovery Commerce, under the Automation section, you can create a tiktok Ads campaign or update an existing one using the bulk upload feature.
You can create two types of campaigns on TikTok via Shopalyst dashboard
i. Auction
ii. Reach and Frequency
Follow these steps to successfully create a TikTok Ads campaign through bulk uploads:
1. Navigate to the Ads Builder:
Go to the Plan Upload screen in the Advertising Automation and click the Upload Media Plan button.
2. Select Media Platform:
Choose TikTok as the media platform and select the appropriate template type from the dropdown menu.
Select Auction or Reach and Frequency as the Buying Type.
3. Download the Input template
You can download the input template from "Click here for the sample template. Instructions regarding upload can be found in the template." the Upload Media Plan screen
4. Review the Upload Template:
The upload template contains two tabs: Instructions and Data Sheet. Review the instructions carefully before updating the template. Ensure all mandatory fields are filled in to facilitate a successful upload.
If you have selected R&F as a campaign type fill in only one of the following:
Fixed Budget
Fixed Impressions
Fixed Reach
Tracking URL Support
You can also include Click Tracking and Impression Tracking URLs while creating TikTok
campaigns. This allows for improved measurement of ad impressions and clicks, leading to more accurate performance insights and better attribution visibility
Enter your Click Tracking and Impression Tracking URLs in the corresponding columns of the input file.

Creator-Authorised Posts as Creatives
You can use creator-authorised posts as creatives in TikTok campaigns. This gives access to creator-generated content without direct uploads, improving performance through authentic, creator-led posts.
Note: If all campaigns use creator-authorised posts, identity selection isn’t required. It is mandatory only if at least one campaign doesn’t use them. Enter the creator’s authorisation code in the Authorisation Code column of the input sheet to activate.
Day Parting
Enable Day Parting at the ad set level by adding time slots in the input template. This runs ads during peak hours, improves budget use, and gives better control based on audience behaviour, store timings, or strategy.
Viewability VAST URL and Brand Safety VAST URL
Add third-party VAST tags (IAS, MOAT, DoubleVerify) in the relevant columns of the media-plan input sheet to improve campaign quality, ensure brand safety, reduce unsafe placements, and enable transparent performance measurement.
5. Upload Your Template:
Once you have completed filling out the template, upload it and click Submit. This action will redirect you back to the Plan Upload screen.

6. Review the URLs :
Complete the upload process as usual and review the URLs on the Campaign Preview page before publishing your campaign.

7. Publishing the campaign:
Click on the three dots under the "Action" option to publish the campaign. You can also download the uploaded media plan for review before proceeding with the publication.

8. Campaign KPI Prediction
As soon as your campaign is published, you’ll be able to see predicted performance metrics for key indicators such as: Impressions, CPM (Cost per 1,000 impressions), Clicks, CPC (Cost per Click).
These forecasts give you a clear picture of your campaign’s expected performance trajectory over time. To know more click here
