Shopalyst provides the flexibility of standardised naming conventions for campaigns, placements, and ads using dynamic placeholders.

How Placeholders Work

  • Placeholders are enclosed in curly braces {} and can include identifiers or parameters to generate meaningful and consistent names.

  • Common placeholder types include:

    • Line Item IDs

    • Insertion Order (IO) IDs

    • Custom identifiers

    • Campaign parameters

    • Any other naming variables defined for your account

Setup and Configuration

  • Naming conventions are established during the initial onboarding process.

  • The operations team manages all customisation and configuration of placeholder templates to ensure consistency across advertising accounts.

Placeholder Behavior

  • When data is available: The system automatically replaces the placeholder with the corresponding name or ID value.

  • When data is unavailable: The placeholder remains visible in the format {placeholder_name}, indicating which information is missing.
